Installing and removing ARCserveIT products

Before installing: connecting your tape drives

You must have at least one SCSI tape drive attached to the SCSI port of your system to back up and restore data using ARCserveIT .

NOTE: ARCserveIT locks all of the tape devices that are configured for its use. If you need to access a locked tape device, you must stop the ARCserveIT services with astop.
