Specifying source options for backup jobs

ARCserveIT allows you to customize your backup job by applying options to multiple backup sources simultaneously when submitting a backup job.

This section discusses the local source options that are available and how to set them.

The source options include:

• Node options
• Volume options

  For information on applying global options to your backup job, see `Specifying global options for backup jobs'.

  Source options allow you to customize the way each source object is handled during backup.

Setting source options

Follow the steps below to set source options that will be applied to the node or volume currently selected:

Not all source tabs will be displayed at all times. In order for you to see the options available for a particular source, you must have that source highlighted.

Set the options you want to apply to this one node/volume you are backing up. Setting node and volume options only apply to the one source object you have specified, not the entire backup job.
