Selecting the Job tab provides access to the Job view of the ARCserveIT database.
The Job Records view tracks information about all jobs that have been processed by ARCserveIT. Each time ARCserveIT runs a job, a record is added to this database. This record contains basic information about the job such as type of job, who ran it, when it started, when it ended, and its status (complete, incomplete, etc).
When selecting the Job Records object, a basic summary of all the jobs run by ARCserveIT. The following section describes how to get details about a job.
You can choose to view more details for a job. Viewing details is especially useful for backup jobs. For any backup job, you can get a list of the sessions that were created on media (one for each job submitted) and a list of files backed up for each session.
To view details for a job:
1. Highlight the job you want to view.
Job summary information will be displayed including the start and end time for the job, whether or not any nodes, volumes, or files have been missed, the owner of the job, and the status and type of job that was run.
2. Click the Plus (+) icon to view a list of sessions for this job.
All sessions associated with the job are displayed.
3. For session information, highlight the session.
The session information displayed includes: the sessions source directory, the related host name, the session number and type, any flags that were set, the method and status of the session.
4. To view the files included in a session, click the Plus (+) icon of the selected session.
A list of files that were backed up with this session are displayed.
5. For file information, highlight the file.
The selected file information is displayed.
