The Log Server configuration file

The asloggerd.cfg configuration file determines the size of the ARCserveIT log files, enables log information to reach the specified printer spooler, and handles the ARCserveIT configuration required when communicating message traps to Unicenter TNG Framework.

During configuration, the aslogger_setup script (which is called by the asetup script), prompts for log file prune information, printer information, and TNG node-related information. The responses obtained are placed into the asloggerd.cfg file, although entries can be made manually as well.
