Getting changer, device, and media information

If you want to view information concerning the type of changer you are using, or the current status of your changer, ARCserveIT's Device Manager can help. You can also get information about the changer's drive(s) and media.

Types of information available

To view basic information about device groups, changers and their associated devices and media, select the appropriate object from the browser and then select the Summary Tab. Since the information displayed corresponds directly to the object currently selected, the Summary tab will display either:

• Group Information
• Library Information
• Device Information
• Media Information

  For detailed information in reference to your changer(s) and associated devices and media, select the Detail Tab. When selecting either a changer or one of its drives, the Detail Tab will yield status information for the selected object.

Adapter information

Selecting an Adapter object while using the Device Manager's Adapter View will display the Adapter Type, Name and Board Number.

Basic Device Group information

When selecting a device group object, ARCserveIT will display the following related information on the Summary Tab:

• Name
• Valid
• Part of Library
• Status
