Working with DOS

You can mount a DOS filesystem and access its files freely while still operating from your UNIX system. This topic explains how to:

set up DOS devices under the UNIX system
use DOS filenames
convert DOS files to and from the UNIX system
format a DOS floppy
mount DOS filesystems

NOTE: The DOS commands are no longer available from UnixWare 7. However similar functionality is available in the mtools package provided in the Skunkware archives. See dos(1) for details.
