Adding documents to the help system

The SCOhelp online documentation system is designed to support add-on products and software from other vendors. SCO encourages vendors to add their documentation to the SCOhelp system; this presents the end user with a coherent and easy-to-use documentation system with a single interface and entry point.

The process for adding documentation to the SCOhelp system is:

  1. Create documentation files in HTML format.

  2. Create manual page files in HTML, man troff, or cat (preformatted ASCII) format.

  3. Create documentation metadata files.

  4. Create man page section metadata files.

  5. Create view stanza files.

  6. Call ODSSI scripts from installation scripts.
