NUC advanced mount options
When using the Filesystem Manager to add or modify a SCO Gateway for NetWare filesystem,
select Advanced Mount Options to control the following options:
- Truncate long file names
-
Determines whether filenames longer than 8 characters are truncated.
- Group ID for creating files
-
Specifies whether to inherit the Group ID from the parent
directory, or to use the Group ID from the calling
process. For example, if the GID is inherited from the
parent directory, any files created in a directory with the
GID bin will also have the GID bin.
If instead the GID is inherited from the calling process,
the file may have a different GID, such as that of the user
creating the file.
- User performing the mount
-
Specifies the ownership of existing files on the filesystem.
- Group performing the mount
-
Specifies the group ID of existing files on the filesystem.
