Configuring LAN connections

Driver configuration

Use the Network Configuration Manager to configure a driver.

PCI, EISA, and MCA adapters may not require that you supply special driver configuration parameters, because most configuration information is detected automatically.

If you are configuring ISA or PC Card (PCMCIA) adapters:

See ``Network driver configuration notes'' for configuration information specific to your network adapter.

NOTE: Network adapter drivers included with UnixWare 7 are ``dynamically loadable'', which means that they can be added to a running system without rebooting the system or rebuilding the kernel. It might be necessary to reboot your system after configuration if you have installed some older drivers, including odi(7) drivers; see your hardware documentation for more information.
