Default configuration

The default configuration has local and network mail enabled. In effect, network mail works without any configuration.

The default configuration (``factory'') files are available in case you wish to restore them. To restore the default configuration, follow these steps:

1. Copy /etc/mail/sendmailcf.factory to /etc/sendmail.cf.

2. Copy /etc/mail/mail.factory to /etc/default/mail.

3. Shut down the sendmail daemon, as follows:
   
   /etc/mail/sendmailrc stop

4. Restart the sendmail daemon, as follows:
   
   /etc/mail/sendmailrc start
