Starting up the Virtual Domain User Manager

Before you can start the Virtual Domain User Manager (VDUM), you need to have enabled virtual domains on your system. To do this:

  1. Add an IP alias to TCP. For more details, see ``Enabling virtual domains''.

  2. Enable the multihome (virtual domain) channel, using the Mail Manager. For more details, see ``Mail delivery channels''.
Once virtual domains are enabled, you start the VDUM graphical interface as follows:

  1. Log in as root.

  2. Enter

    scoadmin virtual domain user manager

The ``virtual domain user manager'' part is case insensitive. Alternatively you can:

  1. Enter scoadmin.

  2. Select ``Virtual Domain User Manager''.
The scoadmin launcher is available from the CDE desktop. The Virtual Domain User Manager is also accessible by typing the pathname, /etc/mail/admin/multihome, at the command line.

This produces the main screen, which is headed ``Virtual Domain User Administration''.
