sendmail mail channels

UnixWare supports sendmail mail channels. These are logically composed of two elements, as follows:

• a channel table whose data determines what messages will be delivered by the channel

• an agent, such as SMTP, which performs the actual delivery

The following channels are supported:

badhost

Specifies where to route mail when the host name is unresolvable.

baduser

Specifies where to route mail when the user name is unresolvable.

SMTP

Specifies that mail is to be sent using the Simple Mail Transport Protocol.

UUCP

Specifies that mail is sent using the UNIX to UNIX Copy program.

local

Specifies that the mail is to be delivered locally using slocal.
