Configuring DFS

The Distributed File System (DFS) is a set of commands and files that allows you to administer the sharing of filesystems in a client/server environment. DFS also provides the interface for administering Network File System (see ``Overview of NFS'' for details of NFS).

DFS administrative tasks may be performed using either the command line (shell), or the graphical System Administration interface, or, if installed, the Operations, Administration and Maintenance (OA&M) package, a nongraphical menu interface.
