Uninstalling the NLM software
Follow the procedure in this section to remove the UnixWare NLMs
from a NetWare 3.x or 4.x server.
NOTE:
The configuration files in sys:etc (hosts,
nfsgroup, and nfsusers), as well as the directory
sys:system tsa are not removed by this procedure. If they
are not being used by other products, you can remove these files using
FILER or some other DOS utility.
To remove the UnixWare NLMs from the NetWare server:
-
If the NLMs are running on the server, enter:
unistop
on the NetWare console to unload them.
-
Load the installation program by entering:
load install
at the NetWare console prompt.
-
Once the installation program starts:
-
On a NetWare 3.x server, choose Product Options from the main
menu, using the arrow and Enter keys.
-
On a NetWare 4.x server, choose Maintenance/Selective Install
from the first menu and then choose Product Options.
-
When the ``Currently Installed Products'' screen appears, use the arrow keys
to highlight the NWUC entry and press the <Del> key; a message box
appears asking for confirmation.
-
Use the arrow keys to highlight Yes in the message box and press <Enter>; a
message appears when the installation program completes the removal of the
product.
-
Press the <Esc> key twice (three time on NetWare 4.x) and then press <Enter>
to leave the installation utility and return to the console prompt.
