Administering TCP/IP and Internet services

This topic describes how to configure the Internet protocol family, TCP/IP, and how to manage the various services that are available under UnixWare 7. The services include:

The Bootstrap Protocol (BOOTP) and the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) can be used to provide configuration parameters to network clients.
The Address Allocation Server (AAS) can be used to assign dynamic IP addresses for use by the Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) and by DHCP.
The File Transfer Protocol (FTP) allows files to be transferred between systems.
The Domain Name System (DNS) is used to resolve domain names to IP addresses.
The Network Time Protocol (NTP) can be used to synchronize the clocks of systems on a network.
