The Packet Filter Manager Interface
You can use the Packet Filter Manager to
define and apply
a packet filter, or to
change or unload
the packet filter that is applied to a LAN network interface.
NOTE:
You cannot use the Packet Filter Manager to apply a packet filter
to a PPP interface.
You must instead use the PPP
Manager to specify which filters will be applied to a PPP
interface when it is next brought up.
You can use the Packet Filter Manager to define the
filters that a PPP interface can be configured to use.
You can start the Packet Filter Manager in any of these ways:
-
Start the SCOadmin launcher by entering scoadmin on the command
line, and then select
Networking
Packet Filter Manager.
-
Enter the command scoadmin Packet Filter Manager on the command
line.
For more information about using the SCOadmin managers, see
``Administering your system with SCOadmin''.
