The NetWare administrator utility

Viewing or modifying print device modes

This feature allows you to modify an existing print device mode (see ``Creating print device modes'' for details).

You can change the name of the mode or change the functions executed from this mode.

A mode is a combination of functions that you define to allow the print device to meet specific printing needs. For example, you might define a print device mode called ``Title'' that includes functions for bold, double wide, and letter-quality printing.

Use the following procedure to modify an existing print device mode.

  1. From the ``Modify Existing Device'' dialog, select the mode you want to modify and choose Modify.

  2. (Optional) Enter a new name for the mode in the ``Mode Name'' field.

  3. Select the function that you want to add to the mode from the ``Device Functions'' list.

  4. Select the function in the ``Mode Functions'' list next to where you want to insert the new function.

  5. Choose Add Below or Add Above to insert the selected device function in the correct place in the ``Mode Functions'' list.

  6. (Optional) Select any mode function that you want to delete from the definition of this mode; then choose Delete.

The selected function is no longer part of this mode. The function is still a part of this print device definition, but is not used for this mode.

  7. Repeat Steps 2 through 5 as needed.

  8. Choose OK.

You return to the ``Modify Print Device'' dialog.
