Supervising the network

This topic has two purposes: This topic is to be used by network supervisors or system administrators responsible for maintaining all or part of a UnixWare NetWare Services network.

This topic is organized to help you take advantage of your networking experience. It provides quick access to utility instructions while allowing a more detailed study of the theory and concepts behind UnixWare NetWare Services.

Once you are ready to work with the NetWare utilities, you can find step-by-step instructions for those utilities.

All of the tasks described in this topic are intended primarily for use by a NetWare network supervisor on a UnixWare system. Other users with sufficient rights can also perform these tasks.

For a definition of user types and a listing of rights and what they allow, see ``Managing the NWS filesystem''.

Also, make sure you have installed and set up UnixWare and gone through the complete installation procedures for the UnixWare NetWare Services product. These procedures are described in full in Installing NetWare Services.
