Administrator status

As a network administrator, you will find the tasks in this manual require not only ADMIN status when working in NetWare, but also System Owner status when using the scoadmin(1M) administration utility.

• From a DOS, Windows, or OS/2 client connected to NetWare, you will be using utilities such as NetWare Administrator, NETADMIN, FILER, and so on, to do network administration.

• From a UnixWare server, you will be using NetWare Setup, NetWare Volume Setup, and other utilities available via the scoadmin tool to configure NetWare to run with UnixWare. To ensure that you have system administration privileges, see ``Assigning authorizations''.
