How clients can access NetWare
Even though most of this manual discusses how
to configure and manage servers, an overview of
NetWare access may be helpful. Since the clients
available with NetWare Services are
DOS, Windows, OS/2, and UnixWare, the following items
briefly explain how to get to NetWare from
a client machine.
-
NetWare Services. This allows NetWare clients to access
UnixWare resources while maintaining their NetWare environment.
-
NUC. This allows UnixWare clients to access NetWare
resources while maintaining their UnixWare environment. See
Administering NUC Connectivity.
-
NVT. This allows DOS and Windows clients to
establish a UnixWare remote login session and access
UnixWare resources in a UnixWare environment. See
Administering NUC Connectivity
for information.
The tasks these clients can do with files and directories is described in
``Managing the NWS filesystem''.
