Maintaining the NetWare server

Bringing up or taking down the protocol stack

The IPX protocol stack must be running so that other services such as the NUC, NetWare printing, and NetWare Services can run. The IPX protocol stack comes up automatically when you boot your UnixWare system. However, if you want to turn this option off, you can do so.

The following list describes the prerequesites:

Carry out the following steps:

  1. From scoadmin, select NetWare, then select the NetWare Setup utility.

  2. Select IPX/SPX.

  3. Select General.

    Click on ``No'' at the ``Start IPX at Boot Time'' option. The default is ``Yes''.

  4. Click OK.
