Common data for auditable events
The following information is recorded
for every event and is referred to as the ``common'' data:
-
the time and date the event occurred
-
the event
-
the process ID
-
the success or failure of the event
-
user identification information (real and effective user and group IDs,
as well as multiple groups, if present)
-
the session ID
-
the security level of the process
NOTE:
The security level of the process is only applicable for
audit trails produced by UNIX System V Release 4.1 Enhanced
Security and UNIX System V Release 4.2 MP, with the Enhanced
Security Utilities installed.
This feature is not supported in the current
release. The field is kept to maintain compatibility with these earlier
releases. For log files produced by this release, however, the
field will always be empty.
