Administering user accounts

Limiting reuse of UIDs

By default, a UID can be recycled (reused) after a year has elapsed. To change this limit, change the UIDAGE parameter with the System Defaults Manager or on the command line with defadm(1M):

defadm userdel UIDAGE=n

where n is the number of months before a UID can be reassigned.
