About Personal Merge Session Configurations

Use the Personal Merge Session Configuration window to view, modify, or create an environment in which DOS or Windows sessions will run. Two default environment configurations come with SCO Merge:

SCO Merge is fully configurable, so you can create other personal configurations that define the DOS and Windows session environments according to your specifications. Each configuration is saved under a unique name.

Configuration Views

The Personal Merge Session Configuration window has four views, which can be displayed by clicking on one of the four buttons across the top of the window. The four views are:

Use this view to display or select:

Drives & Filesystem
Use this view to display or select whether the following file systems are available to your DOS or Windows sessions:

Devices
Use this view to display or select:
Display
Use this view to display or select:

Window Controls

The following controls are common to all views of the Personal Merge Session Configuration window. Use the appropriate control when you are finished viewing, changing, or creating a configuration.

Save
Saves the configuration specifications under the current name, and closes the Personal Merge Session Configuration window.

Save As
Saves the configuration specifications under a new name. A popup window appears in which you can enter the configuration name.

Start
Starts a DOS or Windows session with the specified configuration, and closes the Personal Merge Session Configuration window.

Cancel
Cancels the configuration specifications you have entered, if any, and closes the Personal Merge Session Configuration window.
