Creating scripts for your restore jobs

You can only save restore jobs to a script when you are using the "Restore by Backup Media" View. Scripts are not available when using either the "Restore by File System", or "Restore by Session".

ARCserveIT allows you to save your restore job settings like you would save a text file. Any scripts you save will contain the source and destination that you selected and the schedule information, if you scheduled the job. It will also contain any filters you created to include and exclude files and directories.

Creating a script has the following advantages:

• You can re-use the same settings at a later time
• You can copy your restore settings to a different ARCserveIT host
• You can re-submit jobs quickly after a crash
