Media Server Log

This log provides an audit trail of all ARCserveIT Media Server activity, including when Media Server is loaded and unloaded.

The log also contains information about media jobs, including:

• Backups
• Formatting
• Retension
• Erasing

  For each job, the log includes the following:

• Date and time the job started and ended
• ID number of the job
• Detailed activity of the media service (asmediad)

  The Media Log also includes any errors that occur. Errors are displayed in red.

Why would you need to view this log?

You should only need to view this log if you are having unexplainable errors when you try to run a backup.
