Getting detailed information about the Changer's media

For any changer related media, the basic information displayed via the Device Manager's Summary tab includes:

• Media name or slot umber
• Sequence number of the tape
• ID number of the tape
• Whether the tape is write protected
• Serial number of the media
• Media Type
• Density Code
• Block Size
• Format Code

  The location of media loaded into a device is shown in the Device Manager's browser area along side it's original slot position, in addition to being displayed underneath the related device icon.

Getting detailed media information

When selecting media associated with a changer, the Detail Tab will display:

• Format Information - format history for the selected media including the expiration date for the media.
• Usage - includes read and write pass information including the amount of Megabytes written to the media.
• Error Count - includes any errors that have occurred while reading or writing the media, including any unrecoverable errors.
