This chapter contains a listing of ARCserveIT error messages and troubleshooting suggestions. The error message table included in this section section is designed to help solve any problems that you may encounter when using ARCserveIT.

If a timeout is specified for this error message, it is most probable that the job failed because ARCserveIT
could not write to the selected media. In the case of repeating jobs, ARCserveIT will run the next job in the
backup cycle. In the case of a non-repeating Custom job, you will need to reschedule the job manually.
If a timeout is not specified, one of the following informational codes will be attached to the end of this error message:

- A2 - end of media
- A3 - file mark deleted
- A4 - no data detected
- A5 - unrecoverable data error
- A6 - cartridge not in place
