UNIX System Category

The functions in the UNIX System category provide additional functionality unique to software that executes on UNIX system servers.

Function	Description
getlmxname	Returns the network name of the Advanced Server running on the local computer.
getlmxpath	Returns the path name of the Advanced Server’s home directory.
nb_connect	Establishes a virtual circuit connection to a specified NetBIOS name.
nb_connect_name	Returns the NetBIOS name of the process that established a connection via the nb_connect function.
nb_devname	Retrieves the name of the network device associated with a specified network number and type of service.
nb_getname	Retrieves the NetBIOS name of the computer at the other end of the virtual circuit or the NetBIOS name of the computer that just sent a datagram.
nb_postname	Posts a NetBIOS name to all of the specified networks on the system.
nb_putname	Puts a NetBIOS name into a data structure in a format appropriate for the underlying transport provider.
