To enhance network security, you can specify a unique session/encryption password for a backup job on a selected drive. The session password when set using the Session Password tab is directly associated with the selected volume and all objects on that volume.
To set a session password for a selected volume:
2. Click the Set button located to the right of the Session/Encyption Password field.
4. Re-enter the same password into the Confirm Password field and click OK.
| It is important to remember this password. If you ever want to restore anything from this particular session, you must enter the session/encryption password at the time of restore. |
For information on setting a single password that will be applied to all sessions associated with a backup job, see `Specifying global options for backup jobs'.
For information on compressing and encrypting data when backing up see, `Compressing and encrypting data'.
