Following are some general tips about using ARCserveIT's GFS rotation feature.

Always check your GFS rotation logs

Always check the GFS Rotation/Rotation Daily Log (through the Report Manager). The Daily Log gives you important information such as what media to use for the next GFS rotation Job and what workstations were backed up in the previous job. The GFS rotation Daily log lists:

• Any missed targets
• The status and schedule of any make-up job
• Any errors that occurred during the job

  The GFS rotation Full log for any set contains the entire history of Daily logs. At any point you can check this log for valuable information about the performance of your GFS rotation set.
