The host server determines the available devices for both backup and restore jobs. The device groups attached to the host server are those that are available to you as the backup destination. If the host server currently selected does not contain the media device groups you want to use, you can change the host server to one that does. See `Selecting a backup destination' for more information.
When you start an ARCserveIT manager window, the server currently shown in the host server box is the machine that will be running all your operations.
Having the ability to select different host servers from within a manager window has a distinct advantage in that, you can manage multiple ARCserveIT servers from one location.
