Opening the Database Manager window

All database operations start from the Database Manager window.

To open the window select Database from the ARCserveIT server's home page. Once the Database Manager window is displayed, you will see the Summary view, which is the default view. This view displays information for your file system and for the number of records in the database.

Overall there are four database views available:

• Summary view
• Job Records view
• Media Records view
• Clients view

  The Database Manager's functions are found on the ARCserveIT Menu bar and include:

• The Host Server Drop-Down box for `Selecting your default host server'
• Configuration for `Configuring database options'
• Add for `Adding clients to the ARCserveIT database'
• Modify for `Modifying a record'
• Delete for `Deleting a record'

Refreshing the database view

To ensure that the most up-to-date data is displayed when viewing time critical information, ARCserveIT provides a Refresh function. To refresh the database view, select "Refresh" from the Database Manager's File Menu.
